Job Description

HR Business Partner – Cape Cod

Del Mar Vacations | Full-Time | Based in Cape Cod, MA (Hybrid)

Who We Are

Del Mar Vacations is a Veteran-owned and operated, full-service vacation rental company with over 385+ homes across Cape Cod. Our mission is to create lifelong memories through 5-star guest and homeowner experiences—and we do that by putting hospitality and service at the heart of everything we do.

We’re a team of passionate, smart, and engaged people who solve problems creatively and serve with care. Our ideal teammates thrive in a high-energy, tight-knit environment, are intellectually curious, optimistic, and ready to pivot when things change.

We live and work by our mantra:

R.R.R.E.E.E. – Readiness. Responsiveness. Resolution. Empathy. Efficiency. Enthusiasm.

It’s how we show up, how we fix things, and how we treat people.

Our values make this more than just a job:

  • Be Reliable. Reliable. Reliable.
  • Think like a Guest. Think like a Homeowner. Think like a Team Member.
  • The Obstacle is the Opportunity.
  • Make it Happen.
  • Be Anti-Fragile.

If that resonates with you, keep reading.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to lead all people operations for our Cape Cod base while supporting our strategic expansion into new vacation rental markets. This newly created role blends tactical HR execution with high-level people strategy—perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven, mission-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & People Operations

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for Cape Cod operations, overseeing all facets of the employee lifecycle
  • Develop and lead people programs aligned to business goals including hiring, engagement, retention, and compliance
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations to leadership on organizational design and workforce planning
  • Partner with the COO and leadership team on culture, change management, and team development

2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead high-volume recruiting efforts for seasonal and full-time roles; collaborate with local schools and J-1 programs
  • Design and implement scalable onboarding and training programs for new hires across multiple markets
  • Build a proactive talent pipeline for future expansion locations

3. Employee Experience & Culture

  • Design and deliver people-first programs including professional development, employee recognition, and team events
  • Maintain a joyful, well-functioning office space that reflects company values
  • Coordinate team surveys, analyze results, and implement actionable improvements to enhance culture

4. Compliance, Benefits & HR Systems

  • Ensure full compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and MA-specific employment laws (and other states too as we grow)
  • Manage benefits administration; serve as the internal resource for employee questions
  • Maintain meticulous employee records, support audits, and optimize HRIS (e.g., Gusto or Rippling)

5. Multi-Site & Expansion Support

  • Support territory launches by building adaptable HR infrastructure and local-compliant onboarding processes
  • Standardize policies and employee handbooks to work across states and seasonal hiring models
  • Provide HR consultation and training for new managers in remote or growing locations

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in a strategic HR Generalist or HRBP role, preferably in hospitality or high-growth, seasonal industries
  • Working knowledge of Massachusetts and multi-state employment law
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and benefits
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling preferred), and payroll and compliance tracking
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

Nice to Have

  • Previous exposure to Cape Cod tourism or vacation rental industries
  • Experience with J-1 Visa programs and seasonal employment management
  • Design eye for office setup and event planning

What’s in it for You

  • Amazing coworkers and a service-first culture
  • 75% paid health insurance for you and dependents
  • Dental, vision, and HSA options
  • 401k with up to 4% match
  • Professional development support
  • Yearly bonus program and team recognition events
  • Access to a beautiful downtown Orleans office and frequent team engagement opportunities
