Senior Business Analyst

Location: Boston, MA (4 days/week)

Duration: 6–12 months with possible extensions

Interview Process: 2–3 rounds (1–2 Zoom interviews + 1 onsite)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead systems analysis, requirements gathering, and business process improvement initiatives across complex enterprise applications. This role partners closely with business and IT leadership to ensure solutions deliver maximum business value while meeting technical and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes and system workflows
  • Create workflow diagrams and provide recommendations for procedural and system improvements
  • Perform impact analysis for new systems and enhancements to existing platforms
  • Establish and maintain standards, methodologies, and best practices for business analysis
  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional specification activities for complex initiatives
  • Support the full project lifecycle from initiation through delivery and closure
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise and eCommerce applications
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, UAT, Infrastructure, and business teams on project planning and execution
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous process improvement through metrics and reporting
  • Mentor and guide business analysts; develop training materials as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of business systems analysis experience in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
  • Deep understanding of Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, eCommerce, and financial systems
  • Experience with third-party integrations (e.g., LexisNexis Prefill, Credit, MRV, CLUE)
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and SDLC methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Solid understanding of APIs and web services (REST/SOAP), JSON, XML, SQL, and tools such as Postman

Preferred Skills

  • Data management and database experience (MS SQL preferred)
  • Experience supporting digital and web-based application development
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
