Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in high school level instruction. This travel position is based in Woodstock, VT, and begins ASAP with potential for renewal. The role focuses on providing tailored educational support to approximately five students, each supported by a 1:1 paraprofessional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to high school students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate closely with 1:1 paraprofessionals to support student learning and behavioral goals.
• Facilitate in-school learning during the morning sessions.
• Assist students in community-based job settings during the afternoons, fostering real-world skills and independence.
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families and educational teams.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification.
• Experience working with high school students in special education settings.
• Ability to manage multiple learners with individualized support.
• Comfortable assisting students in community work environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Location and Travel:

• Position is primarily based in Woodstock, VT.
• This is a travel assignment allowing the educator to engage with students in both school and community settings, enhancing real-life employment skills.
