HIFIBIO Therapeutics is a cutting-edge biotechnology company focused on developing curative immunotherapies for patients. We leverage single-cell technologies with AI/ML analysis to enhance success from target to patient.
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative intern to assist in the development of novel applications for our single-cell RNA sequencing platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to design, test, and optimize experimental protocols. The intern will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art laboratory techniques and contribute to ongoing research aimed at improving single-cell analysis methodologies using our in-house microfluidic-based platform.

The successful candidate is a proactive and flexible scientist with a curiosity for novel technologies, prioritizes tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly and efficiently, and thinks nimbly about conveying biological results. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to drug development in a biotherapeutics company positioned at the cutting edge for treating cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and validate protocols for single-cell RNA sequencing from various tissue types
  • Conduct laboratory experiments including tissue dissociation, sample labelling and sequencing library preparation
  • Operates our in-house microfluidic platform
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose solutions to improve workflow efficiency and reproducibility
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and analysis
  • Stay up to date with the latest scientific literature on single-cell RNA sequencing technologies and related methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a 4-year college or university and having completed at least their sophomore year the semester before the internship OR have graduated within the past year
  • Major in biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, or other related experimental sciences
  • Familiarity with standard cell biology and molecular biology techniques (Cell culture, PCR, ligations, microscopy) strongly preferred

MLSC Intern Eligibility:
