Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support students in a K-12 educational setting with a focus on secondary education. These contracts are designed to fill leave positions, providing dedicated instruction to students in moderate needs programs.

Positions and Locations:

  • Two full-time roles at the high school level (grades 9-12), with hours from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM, running through June 2026.
  • One full-time role at the middle school level (grades 6-8), with hours from 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM, running through March 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education certification with a moderate license.
  • Proven experience working with secondary school students in grades 6-12.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to moderate special education needs.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to creating inclusive learning environments that promote student growth and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction aligned with educational standards and individual student goals.
  • Collaborate with school teams to assess and support student needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress regularly.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning abilities.
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings.
