Commonwealth Learning Center is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. We specialize in serving students who have learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. - No classroom management
- No lunch or recess duty

Required Skills:
- Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to customized 1:1 reading instruction.
- Create focused, data-informed lesson plans specific to each individual student’s needs.
- Collect data, monitor progress, and write narrative reports.
- Build rapport with K-8 students.
General Qualifications:
- Candidates must be trained and certified in and have demonstrated experience using the Orton-Gillingham approach.
- Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or special education; licensed teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working 1:1 with K-8 students is highly preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of language-based learning disabilities is strongly desired.
- Elementary math teaching experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with interpreting neuropsychological reports and IEPs is another plus.
- Professional and personable demeanor and comfort interacting with parents/guardians.
- Computer literacy/technologically savvy.
Time Commitment
- Mon.-Fri. Typical hours are 10am-6:30pm, but some flexibility may be available. .8 option available for Mon.-Thurs.
Location:
- Although we are currently delivering some services virtually, we are seeking local applicants only as this position will primarily be in-house at our Needham Learning Center. Hiree also will be required to deliver in-person services at private schools in the Newton/Needham area.
