The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a Childcare Site Manager for their multiple program locations in Keene NH. In this role you will manage, direct, and coordinate our early childhood education program while ensuring a positive experience for our childcare families. Essential Functions of the Childcare Site Manager

  • Manages, directs, and coordinates the Early Childhood Education program at the YMCA's multiple locations.
  • Ensures that all programs are high-quality.
  • Recruits, hire, trains, develops, schedules, and directs personnel and volunteers as needed.
  • Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve established goals.
  • Develops, manages, and controls program budget.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to the program, including ADA accommodations where appropriate.
  • Ensures that YMCA program standards are met, and safety procedures are followed.
  • Provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment, and ensures the environment supports healthy living.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with state childcare licensing agency, school administration, parent groups, and other organizations related to the program.
  • Organizes special events for families and assists in marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Compiles program statistics, monitoring and evaluating progress towards established benchmarks.
  • Maintains open communication with the Director of Childcare Services

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Meet the requirements of the State of NH Childcare Licensing Unit for center director
  • Meets age requirement of 21 years or older
  • Successful completion of required background check
  • Ability to perform duties with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, care, honesty, and respect
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 + years working in a license childcare setting
  • 3 + years supervising 3 or more staff
  • Bachelor's Degree in ECE, Education or a related field
