The Excavation Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on excavation sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. You will coordinate crews, manage equipment and materials, and serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project management and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of excavation projects from start to finish
• Coordinate daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Monitor progress against project schedules and adjust plans as needed
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality; identify and resolve issues promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, logs, and material usage
• Assist in layout, grade checking, and interpretation of project drawings

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in excavation, earthwork, or civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, heavy equipment, site grading, and utility installation
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• OSHA 30 or other relevant safety certifications preferred
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus
