Job SummaryThe Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in the Life Platform Technology Migration initiative within the Delivery Management and Migration Technology Organization. Under general supervision, the analyst will elicit, document, validate, and analyze business and system requirements to support the seamless migration of core capabilities and ensure business continuity. This position requires a strong understanding of life, annuity, and disability income products, as well as the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.Key Responsibilities
- Define business and system scope based on user needs and industry best practices.
- Facilitate and document business system requirements and functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis and business capability assessments for migration readiness.
- Analyze and document integration and data migration requirements between legacy and strategic platforms.
- Identify reuse opportunities and define new integration points where necessary.
- Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and IT teams to resolve production or integration issues.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and traceable through the development lifecycle.
- Participate in project planning, testing, and support phases to validate requirements.
- Lead or consult on escalated support issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support cross-functional teams by explaining requirements and system dependencies.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, ensuring productive and timely outcomes.
- Demonstrate accountability, agility, and inclusion while driving business and technical alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience with a Master Policy Record Administrative Platform.
- 5+ years in a business systems analysis or similar role.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to elicit, document, and manage requirements for large-scale projects.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholder groups and ensuring follow-through.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in parallel.
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented professional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Product, Distribution, or Policy Administration Systems.
- Background in life insurance, annuity, and disability income products.
- Experience supporting legacy system decommissioning and platform migrations.
- Strong knowledge of data mapping and interface redesign.
- Prior experience in a lead business analyst role across concurrent initiatives.
- Testing and quality assurance experience.
