Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school serving students with moderate disabilities. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs and enjoy working with middle school caseloads.
Location: Near Greenfield, MA
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Student Population: K-12 with a focus on moderate disabilities
Caseload: Middle school students
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with moderate disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure integrated learning opportunities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet specific learning goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students with moderate disabilities, ideally in a middle school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
