Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Special Education Teacher contract position at an elementary school in Worcester, MA offers the opportunity to support inclusion students in an engaging educational setting. The role begins ASAP with a tentative end date in Spring 2026 or the end of the school year on June 30th.

The teacher will work approximately 32.5 hours per week, from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM, managing a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students. The position is onsite and requires school-based experience along with an active Massachusetts teaching license or certification. Spanish-speaking skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional materials to meet individual goals
  • Maintaining accurate records and complying with school policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts certification/license in Special Education
  • Experience working in school environments supporting special education students
  • Spanish language proficiency is desirable
  • Ability to pass CORI background checks and fingerprinting requirements (may use a letter of suitability from a previous employer)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
