Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Development Senior Research Associate to join our Analytical Development team. This individual will support assay development and analytical testing for biologics and cell therapy products. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates strong documentation and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments to support analytical method development for biologics and cell therapy products.
- Perform sample testing and data analysis with minimal supervision and quick turnaround times.
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of experiments and findings.
- Author and review SOPs, protocols, and reports.
- Optimize and troubleshoot assay performance in collaboration with the manager.
- Present experimental data and updates in internal meetings.
- Carry out routine lab support tasks to maintain lab operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in cell culture and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with one or more analytical techniques: Flow cytometry, RT-qPCR, cell migration assays.
- Ability to work in a regulated, GMP-like laboratory setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of independently modifying experimental designs for continuous improvement.
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and/or directly related experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with analytical method development (e.g., characterization, release assays).
- Prior experience working with hematopoietic stem cells.
Work Environment:
- This is a fully onsite position located in Boston, MA.
- Must be able to work upright or standing for extended periods.
- Ability to operate standard lab and office equipment efficiently.
- Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
