We are looking for an experienced and strategic finance leader to join our client's team in Holden, Massachusetts. As the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping the financial future of our organization while ensuring alignment with its mission and goals. This is a contract position offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.


Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial guidance to organizational leadership, ensuring financial plans align with mission-driven goals.

• Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial reporting, with a focus on AR and credit card transactions.

• Supervise and mentor a finance team of four, fostering growth and collaboration.

• Utilize accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Stampli to efficiently process payments and uphold compliance standards.

• Lead the preparation and execution of the organization's financial audit, addressing findings promptly and effectively.

• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to protect organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Monitor cash flow, oversee financial forecasting, and manage budgets to support long-term organizational sustainability.

• Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders to inform decision-making.

• Demonstrate expertise in nonprofit financial practices while upholding the organization’s values and mission.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks and Salesforce.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and credit card transaction management.

• Proven experience in auditing processes and annual budget preparation.

• Ability to develop and manage financial policies and procedures in compliance with nonprofit regulations.

• Exceptional skills in financial forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and budget management.

• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising and mentoring finance teams.
