Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist is needed to serve a middle school student population, providing prehensive psychological services during the next school year on a full-time, contracted basis. This role involves managing a caseload primarily focused on evaluations and re-evaluations, with no direct counseling responsibilities.
Location: Derry, NH
Position type: Full-time contract (Next School Year)
Hours: 7:30 AM 2:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (37.5 hours per week)
Caseload: Middle school students, approximately 50 re-evaluations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and re-evaluations to assess student needs and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with special education teams and school staff to interpret assessment results and assist in developing appropriate educational plans
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation for all assessments and related activities
- Participate in eligibility meetings and provide professional input on student placements and services
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred
- Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychological assessments
- Ability to work independently and manage a moderate caseload efficiently
- Excellent munication and teamwork abilities
