Client Overview:
Our client is a biotechnology organization advancing drug discovery through large-scale biological data generation for AI and machine learning applications. The company combines modern wet-lab science, automation, and data-driven platforms to enable scalable discovery efforts. They are looking to add a Senior Scientist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70/hr - $75/hr

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Scientist to support the development and execution of mammalian cell-based functional genomics workflows. The Senior Scientist will play a hands-on role in developing scalable assays and generating high-quality datasets for AI-enabled drug discovery. This Senior Scientist role is ideal for an industry Scientist who enjoys both experimental ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist:

  • Develop and standardize mammalian cell culture protocols, including primary cells, iPSC-derived models, and co-culture systems.
  • Design and execute CRISPR- and/or siRNA-based genetic and chemical studies.
  • Build and optimize cellular and biochemical assays with scalability and throughput in mind.
  • Analyze experimental data to guide assay improvements and future study design.
  • Collaborate with the Automation, Data, and Product teams to support reliable workflows.
  • Contribute to technical planning and serve as a scientific resource for project discussions.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Scientist:

  • 4+ years of industry experience in mammalian cell biology.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in mammalian cell culture, transfection, viral delivery, and CRISPR technologies.
  • Experience with cellular or biochemical assay development.
  • Ability to interpret experimental data and communicate results clearly.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Scientist:

  • Experience with advanced cellular models such as primary or iPSC-derived cells.
  • Background in neuroscience, immunology, or metabolic disease research.
  • Exposure to high-throughput or screening-based environments.

Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a Life Sciences field is required.
  • A PhD is preferred.
