Work independently with minimal supervision performing a variety of customer service and inside sales related tasks. This role requires good follow through as well as strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. This role requires a person with a positive and responsive attitude with customers who can work collectively with Sales Managers and internal departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the handling of customer orders, returns, requests, suggestions, complaints and credit support processing
  2. Processes customer purchase orders, enters orders and confirm orders via fax, email and/or phone.
  3. Provide required documents for customer orders and shipments including order confirmation, commercial invoice and other system generated documentation
  4. Review letters of credit for shipment and document terms, request amendments as needed & provide shipping and billing documents adhering to the LC terms
  5. Coordinate orders, working with forwarders, HTS#’s, order entry, resolve payment issues with credit department and customer, work with the logistics department to ensure shipment
  6. Provide customer price coordination
  7. Perform pricing resolution on orders at the direction of supervisor, manager and/or sales team
  8. Investigate and respond to all customer/salespersons inquiries regarding shipments and product availability
  9. Interacts with various departments such as Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance, Distribution, Marketing, Logistics, etc., to ensure customer requirements are met

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  1. Knowledge of Export & Compliance Procedures
  2. Knowledge of order entry methods and techniques. Proven data entry skills.
  3. Good computer skills including current version of Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM and Oracle PSE 1 is desirable
  4. Must have flexibility in work hours in order to accommodate a wide international customer base.
  5. Experience involving customer contact and resolution of customer difficulties is essential.
  6. Excellent communications skills and attention to detail in order processing and customer communication.
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks is essential, including, identifying and tracking missing information, communicating with foreign customers/Regional Managers, banking personnel on Letter of Credit or other documentation requirements and various internal departments.
