Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a school-based social worker to provide critical emotional and behavioral support for high school students in Springfield, MA. This role focuses on delivering individualized and group interventions to promote students social-emotional well-being in a drop-in clinical model.
Location: High School (Springfield, MA)
Job Duration: Current school year, through June 25, 2026
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
Positions Available: 1
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs of up to 24 high school students
- Facilitate small group interventions that foster coping, social skills, and resilience
- Respond promptly to crises, providing immediate support and appropriate referrals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, interventions, and student progress
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Experience working as a school-based clinician or social worker, preferably with high school populations
- Ability to provide culturally competent and trauma-informed care
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for daily attendance
- Successful completion of drug screening and fingerprint/background checks
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available for Zoom interview (1530 minutes)
- Ability to complete required CORI background process promptly upon hire
