Job Purpose:
The Director of Operations is responsible for oversight and leadership in the areas of Information Technology, Facilities, and Compliance. This position is a senior leader and member of the organization’s Executive team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Facilities and IT systems, providing direct or indirect supervision of staff responsible for these functions
- Manage relationships with external vendors (IT providers, facilities and maintenance contractors)
- Ensure organizational policies, staff trainings, and data security practices comply with all state, federal, and funder contract requirements
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, including safety, security, and data protection
- Oversee the effective operations of the organization’s administrative and front-end support staff
- Partner with the CFO to ensure accurate expense tracking, budget alignment, and cost efficiency
- Partner with the organization’s HR team to ensure organization compliance with contractual requirements around staff training and requisite experience
- Maintain knowledge of, and carefully follow, all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations
- Provide operational reports and recommendations to the CEO as needed
- Other duties and special projects as assigned

- Maintain updated computer technology competencies i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience required
- Previous professional experience in operations and/or IT systems required
- Experience in a nonprofit or human services environment preferred
- Strong project management background and skills
- Strong knowledge of compliance issues
- Well organized, ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to travel independently and reliable transportation required
