Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in Rochester, NH is seeking a skilled Special Education Teacher to cover a maternity leave from the end of March through June. This contract position offers flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time schedules, including a morning-only part-time opportunity. The role focuses on supporting 3rd to 5th grade students with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with learning disabilities
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to meet students academic and behavioral needs
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and goals
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education certification is required and must be in hand prior to starting
- Experience working with elementary students in grades 3-5, preferably with learning disabilities
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instructional skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
