SUMMARY:

The Program Supervisor is the main contact/liaison for the Emergency Department (ED) Navigation, Recovery Coaching (RC), Community Support Program (CSP), and Recovery Support Navigation (RSN) programs. This position will provide additional direct support to the BH-JI/CSP programs as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the main contact/liaison for the ED Navigation, RC, CSP, and RSN programs within Gosnold programs and act as the point person for community partners.
  • Provide direct supervision to ED Navigation, RC, CSP, and RSN teams.
  • Maintain a caseload of patients as needed.
  • Facilitate team meetings when requested by the Director.
  • Review and monitor all community-based programs to maximize support for patients; make appropriate referrals within catchment area when necessary.
  • Conduct routine chart reviews for RC, CSP, and RSN programs and prepare for program audits. Monitor ED Navigation encounter notes.
  • Review census and manage both the waitlist and case assignments.
  • Assist teams in using electronic medical record (EMR) and hospital EMR systems to ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage billing issues, initial and concurrent authorizations for RC, CSP, and RSN programs.
  • Assist with ED Navigation hospital contract development and data collection.
  • Train and mentor new staff.
  • Support teams and manage programs in Director’s absence.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

  • Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience preferred. Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the internet. Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred. Proficient typing skills preferred.
  • Skills: Must have excellent communication skills and a polite phone manner with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
