Role Objective:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to both leadership and employees, with a strong emphasis on employee relations. This role is accountable for addressing and resolving complex workplace issues, conducting impartial investigations, and fostering a respectful, equitable, and legally compliant work environment. The HRBP ensures the consistent application of policies and procedures, mitigates organizational risk, and enhances the overall employee experience. In addition, this role ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws, proactively updates policies and procedures, and supports leaders in building a positive, engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Employee Relations meetings with employees, including investigations, policy clarification, coaching and terminations.
  • Oversee and manage the employee offboarding process, ensuring consistency, compliance, and clear communication with departing staff and managers.
  • Conduct exit interviews for all employee classifications, identify trends, and provide actionable feedback to senior leadership.
  • Ensure proper coordination with Payroll, IT, Compliance, and department leadership for timely offboarding, return of equipment, and systems access removal.
  • Track and analyze exit interview data to support organizational retention strategies and risk mitigation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Workers’ Compensation matters, coordinating with employees, managers, insurers, and third-party administrators to support timely claims processing and return-to-work planning.
  • Manage employment verification requests, ensuring prompt and confidential responses.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and distribute the monthly employee newsletter to highlight agency-wide achievements, recognize individual contributions and key milestones including birthday and anniversary dates.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employees’ experience

Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries related to general HR support.
  • Support in general regulatory/agency audits.
  • Develop trackers and reports to collect, monitor, and manage data effectively.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the goals of the HR department.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working in HR employee relations.
  • Strong values with a clear inner core of purpose-driven leadership.
  • Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Brings sound judgment and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing employee concerns
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and foundational knowledge of HR procedures and policies.

  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
  • Has developed emotional intelligence
  • Familiar with internal software systems for data tracking and organization
  • Experience working with 500+ FTE’s
  • Experience working in health care environment

Salary:

The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $87,000 per year.
