Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Mental Health Clinician position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a middle school location in Windsor, VT. This contract role focuses on providing counseling and social work services to support students' social-emotional and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling services to middle school students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create supportive interventions
- Assess student mental health and develop tailored treatment plans
- Facilitate crisis intervention and referrals when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation following school policies and confidentiality requirements
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Licensed or license-eligible Counselor or Social Worker credential suitable for school settings
- Experience working with middle school-aged children in a mental health or educational environment
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues
- Skills in individual and group counseling techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
Location: Middle school in Windsor, Vermont
