The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of metal fabrication projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of metal fabrication processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Client Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Monitor costs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all fabricated components meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve any issues.
- Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide project team members.
- Foster collaboration between departments.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in project management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of welding, cutting, forming, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings and fabrication blueprints.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Physical Requirement:Must have fine motor skills; mobility to move safety on the production floor; and the ability to sit for most of the day.
- This role is fully in person and requires daily on-site work at our North Attleboro, MA facility.
- Visual Requirement:Must be able to visually read documents and a computer screen
- Hearing Requirement:Must be able to hear and speak on the phone and in person to convey information
- Mental Requirement:Comprehension, Organization, Reasoning, Decision Making, Communication, and Mathematics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and project management software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- PMP certification is a plus.
