Our client a Woburn, MA distribution company is looking for a Customer Service Representative on a temporary to hire basis who can be responsible for delivering exceptional customer support by managing inquiries, orders, service requests, and issue resolution. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience. This would be a Mon-Fri 8am-5pm in-office temp to hire position based at their office location in Woburn right off of 128. It would require the passing of a BG Check and Drug Screen before starting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate information and support to customers regarding products, services, orders, and account status.
  • Maintain friendly, professional communication across all customer interactions.
  • Manage incoming requests via phone and email, including price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations.
  • Process customer orders, return authorizations, and all related documentation.
  • Review purchase orders for completeness and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate field service requests from initiation through final order processing.
  • Monitor orders on hold and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Route unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams for resolution.
  • Assist with monitoring customer accounts to identify and proactively address potential issues.
  • Process daily invoices and manage check deposits, providing required documentation to Accounts Receivable.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Provide backup support for the Administrative Manager as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Computer proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, procedures, and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 3 plus years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Must have the physical ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
