  • Serve as the primary contact for marathon participants, hosting welcome meetings, coordinating bib pick-up logistics, scheduling team dinners, and ensuring runners are supported from registration through race day.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and distribute recruitment campaigns, email communications, and social media updates that promote program growth and visibility.
  • Guide runners in achieving their fundraising goals by providing resources, communication templates, and personalized support.
  • Plan and execute on-site logistics for all marathons, including cheer stations, team meetups, and participant hospitality.
  • Manage post-race thank-you communications, share event recaps, and compile reporting on participation and fundraising outcomes.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of ALS TDI's other signature events such as the Tri-State Trek, Leadership Weekend, and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, budget tracking, and event data within Salesforce and RAISE (bespoke fundraising platform), ensuring smooth coordination across departments.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in event management, athletic fundraising programs, or nonprofit coordination
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence in presenting to and engaging with participants and donors
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
