Job DescriptionSummary

A Logistics Bulk Product Scheduler will focus on managing efficient and cost-effective movement, storage, and distribution of bulk products, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies for bulk product transportation, storage, and distribution, considering factors like cost, time, and efficiency.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products, ensuring seamless flow and coordination.
  • Manage inventory levels, optimize storage space, and minimize holding costs, ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand while avoiding overstocking.
  • Plan and coordinate transportation routes, modes, and schedules, negotiate rates with carriers and ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of bulk products.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and generate reports on logistics performance.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as delays, damage, or disruptions, implementing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective performance.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and carriers, ensuring favorable terms and reliable service.
  • Identify and resolve logistics issues, implementing solutions to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with transportation / logistics software preferred.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong planning, organization, and execution skills, with experience in logistics principles, supply chain management, and bulk product handling.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and a variety of duties.
  • Experience in managing inventory, transportation, and warehousing operations.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Problem solves within delegated authority.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory control, shipping operations, and fulfillment services.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Educational & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field required. 1-3 years of previous experience in Logistics, Operations, Warehousing, Transportation, or Distribution.
  • CSCP or CLDM certifications a plus.
