Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This Special Education teaching opportunity in Salem, NH is a contract position covering a maternity leave from the end of March through June. The assignment supports elementary students in grades 3-5 with learning disabilities, providing tailored instruction to meet their unique educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with learning disabilities in a 3rd-5th grade classroom setting
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to promote academic growth
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
Qualifications:
- Current New Hampshire certification in Special Education required
- Experience teaching 3rd-5th grade students with learning disabilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, strategies, and assessments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Open to full-time or part-time morning schedules
