Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Associate or Scientist, Biology to join Marianas Biology organization, advancing personalized medicine and radiopharmaceuticals. In this role, you will contribute to target validation and execute preclinical studies that advance the next generation of radiotherapeutics. Illustrative Breadth of Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute preclinical experiments to demonstrate in vitro activity, in vivo efficacy, and elucidate mechanisms of action for novel radiopharmaceutical candidates.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data; prepare detailed study reports; communicate findings to internal project teams, leadership, and external collaborators.
  • Support target validation and model development to guide program advancement into translational and clinical stages.
  • Manage and engage with CROs and academic collaborators to accelerate key studies.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory records, ensuring data integrity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (chemistry, translational sciences, pharmacology) to align experimental design with overall strategy.
  • Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and intellectual property generation.
  • Actively participate in lab meetings, project discussions, and strategic planning, offering scientific insight and innovative solutions.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Education/experience:
    • Sr. Research Associate I - BS or MS in Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field with2 5+ years industry experience (BS)/ 1+ (MS) years industry experience in biotech or pharma R&D.
    • Scientist II - BS or MS in Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field with5 - 7+ years industry experience (BS/MS)/ 1+ years industry experience (PhD) in biotech or pharma R&D.
  • Strong background in cancer biology; experience in oncology drug discovery preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments with high-quality, reproducible results.
  • Proficiency with standard laboratory techniques such as proliferation assays, Western blotting, ELISA, qPCR, and stable cell line generation.
  • Familiarity with in vivo oncology models or prior experience coordinating in vivo studies is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
