Job DescriptionEstimator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to join our team and prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing projects serving institutional, educational, and commercial clients.
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction process by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop competitive bids and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers and coordination teams during pre-construction.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals within deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and pricing data.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
- Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing estimating.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Sage and Bluebeam a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and a collaborative team player.
