Position Summary
The HR Generalist supports the HR Manager in coordinating daily HR operations across hiring, benefits administration, payroll and personnel auditing, employee support, and HR process improvement. This role assists with candidate screening and interview coordination, manages benefit and 401(k) administration, supports employee onboarding, and helps ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. The HR Generalist will also participate in HR projects that strengthen processes, enhance employee experience, and support the organization’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage end-to-end hiring support by screening resumes, conducting outreach and phone screens, coordinating interviews with hiring managers and leadership, and maintaining accurate candidate tracking in the ATS.
· Support HR operations by auditing payroll and personnel records, maintaining accurate organizational and compliance documentation, and assisting with SOP development, process improvements, and HR reporting tools.
· Manage employee benefits by administering the 401(k) plan, enrolling employees in health and ancillary benefits, supporting open enrollment and benefits communication, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting employees with benefit questions and carrier coordination.
· Provide frontline HR support by responding to employee inquiries, completing verifications and data requests, assisting with onboarding and off-boarding, and ensuring clear communication and timely follow-through on HR needs.
· Contribute to HR projects and process improvements by supporting initiatives in performance management, training, compliance, and engagement, assisting with cross-departmental efforts, and participating in special projects as needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• One to three years of HR experience in a generalist or coordinator role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
• Experience with HRIS or ATS platforms (Paylocity preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with data.
