Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist position is available in Essex Junction, VT, offering a dynamic opportunity to support student mental health and academic success within a school setting. This role involves working directly with students, educators, and families to assess, plan, and implement effective interventions while traveling between various school sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students
- Consult with teachers and school staff to promote supportive learning environments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with confidentiality regulations
- Travel between schools within the assigned area to meet with students and staff
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a school psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological assessments in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of educational laws, IEP development, and intervention strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between school locations
