Location: Henniker, NH
Dates: July 7th July 24th, 2025
Schedule: Monday through Thursday | 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

BlazerJobs is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for a short-term position in Henniker, New Hampshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students in a supportive and individualized setting.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for working with students in grades 1 through 7, addressing their unique academic and behavioral needs, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with mixed disabilities and a passion for creating customized educational plans that support each child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction in a small-group or one-on-one setting to students with mixed disabilities in grades 1st through 7th.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the diverse needs of each student.

  • Collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure students academic progress and well-being.

  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure academic growth.

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, IEP goals, and progress reports.

  • Support students in building social, emotional, and behavioral skills, promoting independence and self-confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Hampshire Special Education Certification is required.

  • Experience working with students with mixed disabilities and in inclusive education settings is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and administration.

  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
