An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide crucial psychological support in a high school setting during a maternity leave contract. This full-time position, located in Amherst, MA, spans from August through November, focusing on a diverse caseload of approximately 800 students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students, ensuring timely and prehensive reportstypically around 8 evaluations per month.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.
- Provide counseling and support services to students, addressing a range of emotional and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for intervention.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in educational settings, particularly with high school students.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
