Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Plymouth, MA, for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs within the special education program.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and development.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
Manage a caseload of elementary students requiring special education services.
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence.

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification.
Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction and assess student progress effectively.

Job Details:

Hours: 35 per week, 5 days per week.
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay rates of $40-$45 per hour.
