Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Plymouth, MA, for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs within the special education program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and development.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
- Manage a caseload of elementary students requiring special education services.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and assess student progress effectively.
