Location: CT, MA, NH, VT (travel to job sites required)
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Seasonal
Compensation: $18 – $25 per hour (based on experience, certifications, and availability)

Position Overview

We are seeking Traffic Control Technicians / Flaggers to join our growing team. This is an essential role in ensuring the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians around construction and utility projects. As part of our field crew, you’ll set up safe work zones, direct traffic, and support project operations while representing Olympian with professionalism on every job.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor, and take down traffic control work zones according to state and local guidelines.

  • Safely direct the flow of vehicles, equipment, and pedestrians around active work areas.

  • Operate stop/slow paddles, radios, and safety equipment effectively.

  • Communicate clearly with other crew members and supervisors.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.

  • Provide exceptional professionalism when interacting with the public, contractors, and clients.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to stand for long periods, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and lift at least 40 lbs.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel to different job sites across CT, MA, NH, and VT.

  • Preferred but not required:

    • Flagger certification (ATSSA, state-issued, or equivalent).

    • Prior experience in traffic control, construction, or utility work.

    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
