Headquartered in Doha and expanding internationally, the company is preparing for its next stage of growth, including a Series A fundraise of $50 million and expansion into the U.S. market.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team and lead the financial function during a high-growth phase. The CFO will serve as a key partner to the CEO and Board, helping shape business strategy, scale financial operations, and lead the company’s capital-raising efforts. This role will be instrumental in securing the next round of funding, ensuring financial rigor, and enabling successful expansion into new markets.
The position is based in Doha, Qatar, with potential relocation to Boston, USA, in alignment with international growth plans. The role will involve regional and international travel to support operations, investor engagement, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and reporting across multiple business entities.
- Oversee all finance functions, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a key driver of the Series A fundraising process, including financial modeling, investor presentations, due diligence, and cap table management.
- Develop scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to support rapid global expansion.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on business strategy, capital allocation, and resource planning.
- Manage financial risk, optimize capital structure, and ensure strong cash and working capital management.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and external advisors.
- Ensure compliance with local (Qatari) and international regulatory and tax requirements.
- Drive financial performance insights through data-driven dashboards and analytics tools.
- Oversee ERP implementation and finance-led digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA, CA, or ACCA preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role within a startup or high-growth company.
- Proven experience leading equity fundraising efforts, ideally at the Series A or Series B stage.
- Experience in healthcare, AI, SaaS, or digital technology sectors strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, group-level consolidation, and international financial operations.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments and manage cross-border financial structures.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed, and relocate internationally in alignment with company growth.
