Job Summary
The Journeyman HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, conducting diagnostics, and ensuring all components are functioning safely and efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting, installations, preventive maintenance, and compliance with all codes and safety regulations. Additional tasks may include general facility maintenance and equipment support.
Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, thermostats, and other system components
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration units
  • Troubleshoot HVAC issues and operate steam systems
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage work orders and log hours
  • Adjust settings using Building Management Systems (BMS) platforms
  • Perform basic general maintenance and support emergency on-call rotation
  • Assist with inspections and coordinate with external vendors
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with OSHA and PPE guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Available to work flexible shifts as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • HVACR Certification – Required
  • Journeyman License – Required
  • CFC Certification – Required
  • Steam Broilers Experience - Required
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and tools
  • Experience working safely at elevated heights (rooftops, ladders, ceilings)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable working on ladders and rooftops
  • Regular exposure to mechanical, electrical, and environmental conditions
  • Ability to walk long distances and operate tools and vehicles
  • Must live within a 45-minute drive of the worksite
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Other Requirements

  • Pass drug screening
  • Pass Keystone and FAA background checks
  • Pass driving history check
  • Flexible availability for multiple shifts or emergency calls

Shift: 2nd Shift Sunday - Thursday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Salary Transparency Statement
The pay range for this position is $36-$44 hourly. The actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skills, certifications, and location. Keystone Management, LLC is committed to pay transparency and equity across all roles.
