About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a dedicated and dynamic Elementary School Special Education Teacher to join a high-performing public charter school in Hyde Park, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of diverse learners while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

In this role, you’ll provide specialized instruction, inclusion support, and individualized education for students with IEPs. You’ll also partner closely with general education teachers and school leadership to ensure every student has access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver targeted instruction and academic support to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons and support inclusion in mainstream classrooms.

  • Manage IEP compliance, documentation, and progress reporting in alignment with state and district standards.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and support staff to track student progress and set goals.

  • Participate in professional development, coaching sessions, and schoolwide initiatives to strengthen instructional practice.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture that promotes both academic and personal growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Valid MA Special Education License (or ability to obtain within one year of hire)

  • 2+ years of classroom teaching experience, ideally in special education or urban education settings

  • Strong belief that all students can succeed, with a passion for equity and access in education

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement
