About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician (In-Home) to join our team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality, timely repairs of residential and light commercial products — including gas and electric water heaters, HVAC systems, heat pumps, oil boilers, refrigerators (sealed systems), window A/C units, and other home appliances. Additionally, this position promotes and sells additional products and services.

You’ll learn all aspects of our service processes during the training period and demonstrate proficiency by its conclusion. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong technical ability, communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Location

In Customer’s Homes within the MA 495 belt with occasional travel outside of this area

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service a variety of residential appliances and HVAC systems in customers’ homes.
• Provide courteous, knowledgeable service while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Promote and sell value-added products or services to customers during service calls.
• Maintain accurate truck inventory and follow vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Ensure tools, parts, and safety equipment are properly maintained and secured.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, expert service for every customer.
• Complete all required training and meet defined performance and productivity goals.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of related appliance repair or HVAC experience.
• Driver’s License: Valid MA driver’s license.
• Travel: Up to 100% travel within the MA 495 belt with occasional travel outside of this area.
• Licenses/Certifications: Relevant technical certification(s) or licensing preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple product categories.
• Working knowledge of electrical principles and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency with iPhone/Tablet applications for service reporting and navigation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management and self-direction; ability to work independently.
• Strong customer service and sales aptitude.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with hazardous material handling standards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, and work in varied environments.
