Our client a manufacturing company based in Woburn, MA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer support. This role involves assisting clients with inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience with our services. The Customer Service Representative will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This would be a Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (some flexibility though on shift schedule) and would be a temp to hire position with hybrid potential upon the permanent offer.

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and experience in order management or inside sales—ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sector. Success in this role requires attention to detail, organizational strength, and the ability to collaborate across departments and international teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, delivery status, and product inquiries.
  • Process quotations, purchase orders, and confirmations accurately and in a timely manner using ERP/CRM systems (SAP S/4HANA or equivalent).
  • Coordinate with logistics, production planning, and sales teams in North America and Europe to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate proactively with customers about lead times, tariffs, shipping terms, and product availability.
  • Support outside sales and channel partners with documentation, pricing updates, and order status.
  • Handle customer complaints and service issues professionally, escalating as needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and transaction histories in CRM systems.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or order management (manufacturing/industrial sector preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
