Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide full salon services, including hair cutting, shampooing, blow drying, coloring and styling
- Be knowledgeable about current hair cutting and styling trends
- Maintain station and overall salon cleanliness
- Help maintain inventory of hair products and tools
- Ensure timely service to clients with scheduled appointments
- Educate clients about their personal hair care, additional services, and retails products
- Closely follow safety, sanitation, and health standards
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Friendly, upbeat, and professional demeanor
- Able and willing to work a flexible schedule
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have the ability to listen to and assess the wants and needs of their clients
- Be able to follow instructions
- Be knowledgeable about the color wheel, remaining pigment, darkness levels, master timing, and color application
- Able to work well under pressure and timelines
- Pay attention to small details
- Ability to earn trust of their clients and establish long term service relationships
- Ability to cooperate with others and be a team player
- Self-manage, take charge, be a self-starter, be highly accountable, and have consistent follow through
Education and Experience:
- Current hair styling license
- 1-2 years minimum experience cutting and styling hair in a salon
Rental or commission spaces available.
