Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year at a high school in Amherst, MA. This role requires providing psychological services and support to students in grades K-12, focusing on assessing and addressing their social, emotional, and educational needs. The position is contract-based, full-time, and aligned with the school calendar.

Location:

  • Amherst, Massachusetts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist License required
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and staff

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)
  • Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Age group served: Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Location: High school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement intervention plans and support strategies
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes
  • Assist in developing individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
