Senior Accountant
Shelburne, VT
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in a manufacturing and ERP environment. This position is responsible for the processing of accounts payable, account reconciliations, maintaining the General Ledger and performing the month-end closing. This position reports to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands on managing of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, cash disbursements and General Ledger.
- Perform all account reconciliations.
- Perform the monthly closing and Financial Reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- 2 to 5 years of accounting experience, with 2 years in a manufacturing / ERP environment preferred.
- Detail oriented and proficient in Excel.
- Cost accounting experience is a plus.
- Excellent people, analytical and problem-solving skills.
