Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress in compliance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral expectations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages social and emotional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- State certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and staff.
