Job Description
A top-tier private funds team in Boston is looking to add an associate who wants to handle real fund formation work. This group builds funds across private equity, venture, real estate, credit, and hybrid strategies. The team is busy, organised, and collaborative and currently in growth mode.
What you’ll work on:
- Formations across PE, venture, growth, and real estate platforms
- Private placements under the ’33 Act
- Advising unregistered funds under the Investment Company Act
- Work touching the Advisers Act, side letters, subscription materials, governance documents
- Managing major workstreams on launches rather than assisting from the edges
- Direct partner access and tight feedback loops
Why this team gets traction:
- Associates actually run substantial components of fund launches
- Real client contact. No ten-layer hierarchy
- A strong track record of lateral associates rising quickly
- Hybrid schedule that’s performance-driven rather than face-time-driven
Ideal background:
- Class of 2022–2019
- Solid experience in fund formation or secondaries
- Strong writing and technical precision
- Bar admission in MA or willingness to gain it
If you want a confidential conversation, reach out and I’ll share the specifics privately.
