We are looking for a Full-Time Rentals Managerto help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the General Managerin ensuring the success of the Rentals department at ourMeredith Property.
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for overseeing operations and success of the Rentals department. The manager will be the point of contact for inter-departmental communications, and report directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage employees with a wide variety of ages, including high school and college students.
- Manage employee scheduling, staffing, and job assignments to cover operational needs.
- Accountable for retail transactions and cash drawers.
- Manage rental boat accessories to ensure accurate inventory of water skis, tubes, tow ropes, etc. and verify they are not damaged and in good working order.
- Manage internal and inter-departmental communications.
- Work with boat registrations, including setting up booking grids and being responsible for 40+ new boat rentals.
- Ensure confidentiality of customer information.
- Communicate with the Service Department regarding rental boat damage.
- Work with Sales manager to transition rental boats to the Sales Department at the end of rental season.
- Support Sales department with boat show responsibilities, boat registrations, data entry, etc.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years managing employees with a wide variety of ages, including high school and college students, required.
- 3 or more years as a Customer Service manager, preferred.
- 3 years of experience in B2C sales and training sales teams, preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Superior understanding of scheduling multiple shifts and people for a busy environment.
- Complete understanding of Federal, State, and Youth labor laws.
- Possesses a high degree of organizational skills.
- Ability to create and execute a plan and to react effectively to unexpected situations.
- Strong belief in training employees well.
- Ability to communicate well.
- Thrives in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience with SPEEDYDOCK, preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or 3+ years of managing 25+ employees, required.
- Valid Driver’s License, required.
- Boater’s license, preferred.
Job Type:
- Full-time, Year-Round position.
Salary:
- $48,000 to $52,000 per year, paid bi-weekly.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday + Weekends. (5 days per week)
- Monday-Friday in off-peak season.
