Lab Analyst – Southbridge, MA
Perform sampling and testing of water/wastewater systems. Conduct chemical, biological, and bacteriological tests (pH, chlorine, solids, DO, coliform). Maintain QA/QC, records, and lab equipment. 1+ year lab experience required. Valid driver’s license.

Overview
Lab Analyst to support water and wastewater laboratory operations at a municipal facility. This role supports routine sampling, testing, documentation, and quality control to ensure safe, compliant plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples.
• Perform chemical, biological, and bacteriological testing.
• Test pH, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, total solids, volatile solids, residual chlorine, and coliform bacteria.
• Analyze influent, effluent, sludge, and receiving water bodies.
• Maintain lab equipment, materials, and safe work practices.
• Follow laboratory safety, QA/QC procedures, and documentation standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate test records and reports.
• Support industrial pretreatment program activities as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as required to support plant operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of laboratory testing experience.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, and laboratory testing methods.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data management systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
