Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school serving students from Kindergarten through 4th grade in a rural area. This contract position runs from March 2, 2026, through June 19, 2026. The role welcomes candidates who are open to working as a Virtual Case Manager, adding flexibility to the placement.
Qualifications:
- Vermont Elementary License required
- Preference given to candidates with a Special Education Endorsement
- Experience working with K-4 students in special education settings
Job Details:
- Location: Rural elementary school serving Essex Junction, VT
- Contract duration: 3/2/2026 to 6/19/2026
- Full-time: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Caseload includes students needing specialized education support
- Option to serve as a Virtual Case Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to support academic and social development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure integrated learning experiences
- Conduct assessments and monitor progress, adjusting strategies to maximize student success
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
