About the Role:

As a Journeyman Pipefitter, you’ll be responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in a variety of commercial, mechanical, and industrial environments. Your work will be driven by technical expertise, safety standards, and a strong commitment to quality and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute pipe system layout and installation according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and PI&Ds
  • Assemble, install, and secure pipes, valves, fittings, and related equipment using welding, brazing, soldering, and mechanical connections
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications
  • Modify and maintain existing pipe systems and related equipment
  • Perform hydrostatic and pressure tests to inspect and validate system integrity
  • Work safely and in compliance with all site and company safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and complete documentation as required
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, to meet project demands
  • Comply with all drug screening and background check requirements


Requirements:


Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Vocational training in pipefitting or mechanical trades is a plus
  • 3–10 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial pipefitting


Licenses & Certifications:

  • Required: Massachusetts Journeyman Pipefitter License (or Apprentice with 3+ years experience)
  • Preferred: Pipefitter License for petroleum/natural gas systems
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License


Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and PI&Ds
  • Familiarity with pipe system types: grooved, threaded, welded, brazed, soldered
  • Ability to work with piping materials across industries (mechanical/process/petroleum)
  • Welding experience and certifications are a plus
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
