Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Boston, MA, for the upcoming academic term. This contract role spans one full semester, with the opportunity to extend through the end of the school year in June 2026. The position involves supporting a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students and offers a structured schedule from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to inclusion students in a classroom setting.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to integrate services effectively.
  • Maintain thorough documentation on student progress.
  • Participate in meetings with parents, staff, and specialists to ensure comprehensive student support.

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts teaching license or certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working within a school environment is required.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a CORI background check and fingerprinting. Candidates may utilize a letter of suitability from a previous employer to satisfy fingerprinting requirements.
  • Availability for a virtual interview via Zoom.
